Blocking schedule :  Today is the first day of our blocking schedule for this year  which means you will attend  only your odd classes - 1^st, 3^rd, 5^th, ASAP then 7^th - and each class will be 80 minutes long.

Back To School Night - Our "Back To School Night" is next Tuesday from 6:00PM - 8:00PM with a "Meet Your PTO" get together from 5:00pm - 5:50pm in the Library. The campus will be open at 4:30PM with a BBQ in the lunch area serving hot dogs, chips, soda & dessert for $3.00. In the Birdcage there will be a Silent Auction, Yearbook sales, JGMS Spirit Shirts for sale, as well as food, drink & snacks for sale.  The Book Fair will be open in room 305, and our very own JGMS Band will be playing. Teachers please remember to check your boxes for the information flyers

Picture Day -  School pictures will be taken next week on Wednesday & Thursday. Your pictures will be taken during your PE time (don't worry you will not be dressing out). Wednesday and Thursday are block days so if you have PE on Wednesday then your pictures will be on Wednesday, if you have PE on Thursday then your pictures will be on Thursday.  The order forms will be distributed this Friday. 

T&T Dance Troupe - Attention all 6th, 7^th and 8^th grade students interested in the after school dance program with Ms. Kaylor come to rm. 606 to pick up your information paper and permission slip. You may come in any lunchtime or after school this week.

Lanyards - Remember students ……lanyards are to be worn every day.  It is a good idea to put them in your backpack when you leave school then you will have it with you in the morning

School Site Council

Any student interested in serving on the 2012-2013 J.GM.S. School Site Council Committee please see any of your teachers for a Candidate Information Sheet. The committee is an elected position that assists the school in making decisions on how to spend money, according to the school plan, to improve student achievement. The committee meets once a month from October through May at 2:30 p.m.

Book Fair - The first JGMS Book Fair will be next week September 17^th - 21^st in room 305. You can come see what the Book Fair has to offer during lunch or after school until 3:00.

Fundraiser - The Cheesecake Cookie Dough Fundraiser……. If you did not get a packet at the kick-off  just come to room 506 any time before or after school, and during lunch or ASAP to pick one up.

Club meeting  information:
