The purpose of interventions is to increase, improve, and enhance the performance of students.  They are designed to provide services to students at the earliest point in time possible, when difficulties first arise.  Strategic strategies and process address each student's academic difficulties.  The strategies that are used are individualized to meet the specific needs of a particular student.  Strategies focus on characteristics related to curriculum and instruction.
