The Internet is a powerful tool students can use to learn and connect with friends. Teaching them safe surfing practices when they are young can protect them throughout their lives. Our students will be the first to be raised in the Internet era. Using computers and devices that access the Internet will be something they expect rather than a new and exciting trend. As time goes on, their lives will become more and more “Web-based” through socialnetworking, information retrieval, commerce, and connecting with family and friends.
