General Supplies

Following supplies are standard school-wide for sixth grade. Individual teachers will give you required supply list for individual classes.

Supplies (Required Daily):

• 3-Ring Binder (3")
• Jump Drive
• 8 Dividers with Labels for each class
• Binder Reminder
• Blue or Black Ink Pens
• Ample Supply of Sharpened Pencils or Mechanical Pencils
• Gummy Eraser
• Glue Stick
• Colored Pencils
• Highlighter(s)
• Loose-leaf, Lined Paper
• Zippered Pencil Pouch
• Binder Friendly 3-hole punch
• One 2-subject spiral 3-hole punched notebooks (non-perforated edges) for Math classes.
• Pleasure Reading Book 
• Pencil Sharpener w/ shaving catcher
• Basic Calculator
• Ruler

NOT ALLOWED
- Markers of any kind.   - Gum or Candy
- Gel Pens       - Graffiti, stickers, pictures, etc. on binder cover
- White Out       - Scissors   - Toys of any kind.

Following supplies are standard school-wide for seventh grade. Individual teachers will give you required supply list for individual classes.

General supplies required daily:

• Loose leaf lined paper
• Pencils and pens (blue or black)
• Pencil sharpener with shaving catcher
• Glue slicks and scotch tape with dispenser
• Student scissors (2 - 4 inches)
• 2 different color highlighters (green, pink, orange, or yellow)
• 3 ring binder to be organized by subjects (Math; Humanities; Language Arts; Science; etc)
• Subject folders or dividers for 3 ring binder
• Jump drive is recommended for saving and backing up school projects and activities (e.g. History Day, Science Project, etc.)
• Laced shoes for PE including PE uniform (shorts and T-shirt)

Math:

• Basic calculator. 
• Spiral notebook with at least 70 pages (quantity = 1)
• Dry erase marker and eraser (old rag or sock are acceptable)  

Science/Language Arts:

Science/Language Arts:

• Colored pencils (1 set to be left in the LA/Science classroom) 
• 3 Subject Spiral Notebook: hard plastic cover with dividers and at least 8 ½ by 11 inches (8 ½ by 10 inches is too small)
• Independent reading book which needs to be bought to class every day

Humanities:

• Colored pencils (1 set for Science and Humanities)

8^th grade supply list :

Please ensure your child has the following supplies throughout their 8^th grade year.

All AVID students will be required to have the following materials.  These materials will not just be used in the AVID classroom but will be used throughout the student's day.

• Binder - 2 to 3 inches

• Subject Dividers

• Pencil Pouch

• Pens (Blue or Black)

• Pencils (if mechanical extra lead)

• Eraser

• Filler Paper

• 2 Folders

• Highlighter

• White Board Marker

• White Board Eraser - an old sock works fine

• Glue Stick

•  Post it Notes

• blue or black ink pens 

• composition book 

• 3X5 index cards

• one package of loose leaf binder paper (college ruled).
