Our band program is 100% funded by our band boosters and the fund raisers they run. The school district pays for the salaries of our band director and our color guard coach, and that is all. If your student went to Wildwood Music camp , it was partially funded by the boosters; if your student uses a school instrument, it was purchased by the boosters; if your child has had snacks at any event, they were provided by the boosters; if your student is on scholarship, it’s provided by the boosters; if your student was in honor band, it was paid for by the boosters; the chairs and stands your student uses, the music they play, the uniforms they wear…they are ALL provided by the boosters.

How can you help with fundraising?

1) THE STUDENT STORE

The PDCMS Band & Color Guard programs are fortunate to receive 100% of the profit from the student store, but we need your help! We are priveleged to bve able to operate the Student Store at PDCMS. Parents, Grandparents, Guardians, Aunts and Uncles - We need you to give an hour or two to help our store.

We rely on our volunteers to make the student store successful. The parents that are currently on the schedule would appreciate more parents to participate so everyone has to work less.

Shifts include

Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri - Lunch - 11:00am to 1:00pm

Wed - Lunch - 10:30am to 12:00pm

You can work a regular shift once a week, every other week, or even once a month. Please e-mail Mr. Lacro if you would like to help out.

2) ROCK THE HOUSE

Yes, Rock the House seems like it’s a long time away, but those of us who were involved with it this year know how quickly it comes at us. Some things you can do now are get donations of items for the silent auction and make connections with people who would either like to sponsor the event or buy advertisement space in our program.

The date is set for Saturday, March 2, 2013
