One of the key components of our school culture is our video announcements. Twice a week during ASAP, our entire school watches a five to ten minute television program made by our students. In these videos we address different issues going on at our school. For example, video production students make short skits that deal with our "Word of the Month" which helps build our Character Education program. Students also participate in segments that highlight upcoming events on campus as well as school rules such as our dress code.
Our announcements include segments on our IB Programme so students can understand the vocabulary of our school. We also show student-made films that are educational and reinforce what our students are learning through the California State Standards. The video announcements help bring our school together by defining our culture so students really understand what it means to be a Redhawk.
