With consistent improvement in our CAHSEE preparation the English Department will continue to focus on writing applications to help prepare this year's sophomores. After piloting a Read 180 class last semester, Indio High has purchased 60 more site licenses for this excellent reading improvement program.

All grade levels have received copies of the district-wide common curriculum and will be participating in grade levels meetings throughout the year to do the "fine-tuning." We will again be using the quarterly district benchmarks at all levels. The curriculum guide is available on the district website under the section titled: DSUSD English Language Arts.
