Uniform Complaint Procedures
Recently California passed Assembly Bill 9 or "Seth's Law," a new law that reinforces and expands the Safe Place to Learn Act to help safeguard all public school students.
In addition, AB 1575 a recently passed assembly bill prohibiting school districts from requiring students to pay fees, deposits, or other charges for participation in educational activities.
Desert Sands Unified School District has revised the Uniform Complaint Procedures (UCP) to incorporate the language reflective of the California Assembly Bills 9 and 1575.
