A new school year is upon us and Indio High School welcomes the incoming class of 2017! The challenges of preparing for the new school year combined with nature's effects have made the beginning of this year an interesting one. Nonetheless, we are ready and welcome all of our students back on September 3rd.

The "new" Indio High School is being built with a lot of progress having taken place during the summer. Students attending this year will get to see a brand new high school growing beneath their feet while attending their courses. The 2012-2013 school year was a very successful year with our students performing very well on the state and federal exams. This comes with great effort and motivation by the students and their families as well as the dedicated and talented staff at Indio High School. We look toward the future and anticipate another strong year academically at Indio High School with classes beginning on Tuesday, September 3rd.

Tuberculosis (TB) News

December 19, 2013

Dear Parents:

The Riverside County Department of Public Health in collaboration with the State of California, Indio High School, and Desert Sands District Administration has determined there has been a possible exposure of your Indio High Student with person(s) who have active tuberculosis.  Although the risk of transmission appears to be moderately low it is by screening all Indio High School students that we can best support your child’s health and well being

There will be a mandatory TB screening on Friday December 20, 2013, at Indio High School for all enrolled Indio High School students.  There will be no charge for this screening.  Students will need to return on Monday, December 23, 2013, to Indio High School to have the results evaluated.  If you choose not to participate for reasons of choice or convenience, your personal physician will need to administer and evaluate results. Without verification of a current TB testing and results, students may not return to classes on January 6, 2014.

If you have questions, please contact Indio High School at (760) 775-3550.
